Robotics Competition 2010

This year's competition was quite an accomplishment for Team 1862, The Red Raiders of Cliffside Park. THrough all the struggles of a six week build period and a three day competition, the team ranked the highest we have in four years of attending the FIRST New York Regionals at the Jacob Javits Center.
This year's competition was a soccer game with a few extra twists thrown into it. The robots had the chance of obtaining extra points if they could hang from a metal bar above the field during the grand finale of each match.
During the alliance picking of the competition, Team 1862 was not called and did not make it to the finals. They placed 20th out of 63, which is a job well done. They did their best and worked hard through both the build period and the competition. It was a great season and hopefully next year it will be an even greater success!
